The FX-VS40 is a V-mount Hot-Swap plate with an internal battery that allows swapping the external battery without turning off the device. When the external battery voltage drops below 11.7V, it automatically switches to the internal battery, providing up to 120 seconds to replace the external battery.

The Cool Black series features a V-mount battery with a USB-A port and two D-Tap connectors, along with a 5-level power indicator.
